四月份只有十三天的上課日子,另外的半個月是復活節假期。同學可以好好利用這個假期享受一下天倫之樂,做一些自己喜歡的活動,放鬆一下。希望這些「活動」都是有益身心的,例如同學們可以多做運動、閱讀課外書籍及參觀不同的博物館、圖書館,更可以藉此長假期認識社區。事實上,屯門有很多好的地方值得去遊覽,例如不同的沙灘、單車公園等。同學們可以與家人發掘一下其他的好去處。若果有甚麼好地方,一定要向我介紹,因為我也是屯門新居民。 | |||||
There was on 13 days for the school day in April. The rest of the days were for the Easter Holiday. Our students can enjoy this 13-days holiday with their family by doing some meaningful activities for relaxation. I wish that these activities should be good for your health in both physically and psychologically, for instance, doing some exercises, reading books and visiting museums or libraries. You will know more about your community through these activities. In fact, Tuen Mun is a district where is worth to walk leisurely around such as beaches, cycling park and so on. Our students can take this opportunity to explore the community with your parents. After, you can recommend some to me as I am a new citizen in this district.

四月四日是一年一度的「龍岡日」, 世界龍岡學校轄屬中學、小學及幼稚園的師生,一起在世界龍岡學校劉皇發中學舉行慶祝活動,有嘉賓致詞、頒獎禮及各校的精彩表演:劉皇發中學的同學表演中國舞、黃耀南小學表演街舞、朱端蘭幼稚園表演音樂舞蹈劇、還有我校同學表演英詩集誦。各學校的表演都非常精彩,令所有觀眾都十分雀躍。我們深信學習不單在課室內發生,不同的舞台也能給予學生機會去表現他們的潛能及建立他們的自信,這次表演就能夠達到這個目的。 | |||||
An annual function called ‘Lung Kong Day’ was held on 4th April, 2019 this year in the secondary school campus. It was a joint-school function with a secondary, 2 primary schools and a kindergarten. All of us prepared a performance to show on that day. A Chinese Dance was performed by the secondary school, a ‘krump’ was performed by Wong Yiu Nam Primary School and Chu Sui Lan Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten performed a musical. Our school performed a choral speaking. All the performance were brilliant and they made all the audiences excited and fascinated. Nowadays, learning has not just happened in the classroom. Different kind of performances can provide different opportunities for students to show their potential and build up their confidence. I believe that this function can achieve this objective.

四月十三日是我校一年一度的親子旅行日,目的希望家長與孩子能一起放下手上的工作,親親大自然。而我們每一位老師也參與是次活動,希望當中能與家長建立互信的關係,藉此讓家長與老師多溝通,對孩子在學校的生活多點了解。當天可算天公造美,由出發到回程也沒有下雨,加上沒有熾熱的陽光,反過來是清風送爽,是最適合遠足旅行的好日子。我們老師、家長和學生共三百人,浩浩蕩蕩地前往菠蘿園。這個園地以種植菠蘿為主,有菠蘿所製造的副產品例如雪糕、果汁等等,都深受各人的歡迎,不斷購買進食。而在這片農地上我們可以看見菠蘿的種植過程,令學生可以學習到種植是一件不容易的事。中午時段,我們一起到流浮山吃海鮮午餐,大家吃得津津有味,十分滿足。之後更把握時間,前往流浮山的街市購買不同的雜貨,各人都滿載而歸。最後一站,我們一起到大埔打哥爾夫球,大家雖然不是什麼專家,但各人也投入參與這項運動,不斷重複練習,希望達致成效。可惜我們只得1小時的時間逗留在這邊,未能盡興而回。最後,各人帶着疲倦的身軀回到學校解散。這個活動十分有意義,希望學校每年也能舉行,促進師生關係,更能拉近家校的關係。 | |||||
On 13th April, 2019, it was the parent-child picnic. It aims to let our parents and students put down their working or studying respectively, and go into the nature. Thank you all the teachers to join this picnic. The school wants to build a good relationship with parents through this activity. Parents could take this chance to know more about what the kids did at school. On that day, it was a good weather for picnicking. It did not rain throughout the whole activity with gentle breeze blowing all day long. There were over 300 people to join this picnic. The first spot was ‘Pineapple Park’. This farm mainly grew pineapples. The owner used the pineapples to make different by-products such as ice cream, juice and so on. Parents and students kept on buying as they really liked to eat pineapples. Students also had a chance to know how the pineapples are grown. They can learn being a farm to grow plants is not an easy job. In the afternoon, we all went to Lau Fau Shan to have a seafood lunch. All the people enjoyed the seafood. They had their lunch quickly as they wanted to spend sometimes to the market to buy some dried or preserved food. Of course, most of them could buy what they wanted and they were ‘Big Spender’. The last stop was the golf pit where was located in Tai Po. Most of the people did not know how to play it but they kept on practising. What a pity! We had only one hour for playing the golf. We did not want to leave but we had to. At last, all of us went back to school for dismissal. We were exhausted but this activity was fruitful and meaningful. We wish to hold the Parent-child picnic annually to promote the relationship between teachers and students. Also, the relationship between teachers and parents should be closer.
